FREEBIE FRIDAY!!

I may not know much about saving but I know i like FREE! Every Friday I spent about 1-2 hours signing up for free samples. Sometimes these "samples" are full size with coupon! So it is so worth doing. I am getting better and better at finding the freebie deals every week! Two weeks a go I got a full size can of dog food and last week I got a full size bag of Tide stain release along with a liquid sample and coupon! If it is free then it is for me! I have seen some women get so well at getting free samples that their mail box is filled daily with stuff! Hey is I am not buying then I am saving right?! Starting next Friday I am going to post what all I got in the mail for free that week! I would start today but all I got was a bill :(.

New Student!

At 30 years old I am a new student to saving! I was never taught to save. I grew living paycheck to paycheck so as an adult of course I do the same. Saving does not come natural to me.
My husband may be taking a pay-cut son with a new job and since we have 4 boys it is now or never on learning how to save. I have no clue where to start! We cut out eating out, we do not have cable or satellite, cut back on a lot of driving we were doing and i try to be aware of the utilities we use. I know I have a lot to learn and I know there are resources out there to help me.
My biggest challenge is going to be not getting overwhelmed with too much information. See I tend to over-research things and then throw my hands in the air when it gets too confusing cause I go big or go home!
This time I plan to start small. I am going to learn to coupon but nothing extreme. Baby steps is the plan.
